The elevated probability of a series tie reflects the closely matched NFC East rivals entering 2026, with both clubs featuring significant offseason changes and roster uncertainty ahead of their Week 1 Sunday Night Football matchup and a later return game. Dallas carries stronger implied offensive potential behind Dak Prescott and George Pickens alongside defensive reinforcements like Rashan Gary and Quinnen Williams, yet the unit remains in transition after a prior 7-9-1 campaign. New York counters with John Harbaugh’s first season as head coach, emerging pieces such as Jaxson Dart and Malik Nabers (recovering from ACL surgery), and recent additions, though the loss of slot receiver Calvin Austin III to a season-ending knee injury adds depth concerns. Historical dominance by the Cowboys in the rivalry is offset by variance across two regular-season contests, producing trader consensus that neither side is likely to sweep.
