The Toronto Raptors hold an overwhelming 86.7% implied probability in this market because Kawhi Leonard and his representatives have repeatedly signaled he would commit only to a long-term extension there after a June 2026 trade agreement that sent him from the Clippers for Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, and multiple first-round picks plus swaps. Leonard’s prior championship run and familiarity with the organization’s front office structure, combined with the Clippers’ decision to move younger rather than extend him, anchored trader consensus. Recent developments include the Raptors pausing the deal over liability for an ongoing NBA salary-cap investigation tied to Leonard’s prior contract, leaving the transaction in limbo as of late August. Potential shifts could arise if the probe results in penalties that derail Toronto’s involvement, forcing Leonard back to Los Angeles or into free agency.
