The Chicago White Sox hold a 3.5-game lead in the AL Central at 68-62, driving their 63.5% implied probability as division frontrunners. Breakout performances from Munetaka Murakami and Miguel Vargas have fueled a strong offense, while consistent home results and a solid run differential have maintained separation despite a middling overall record. The Guardians (65-66) trail after a pronounced post-All-Star break slump that dropped them from contention earlier in the summer. Minnesota, Detroit, and Kansas City lag further back with sub-.500 marks and limited momentum heading into the final stretch, leaving the White Sox well positioned to clinch barring a significant late collapse.
