This market will resolve to “Yes” if Mike Locksley ceases to be the head football coach at the University of Maryland for any length of time between market creation and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. An announcement of Mike Locksley’s resignation or firing before the market’s end date will immediately resolve this market to “Yes”, regardless of when the announced resignation or firing goes into effect. This market’s primary resolution source will be official information from the University of Maryland and/or Mike Locksley; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Maryland athletic director Jim Smith publicly committed to retaining Mike Locksley for the 2026 season following back-to-back 4-8 campaigns in 2024 and 2025, citing the need to stabilize a young roster and boosting NIL resources for retention and the transfer portal.
