The 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix at Baku’s street circuit arrives amid sweeping new regulations emphasizing electric power, lighter cars, and active aero, leaving form lines unsettled after early-season results. Mercedes leads the constructors’ standings through consistent pace and reliability, yet Ferrari, McLaren, and Red Bull remain competitive on varied layouts while midfield squads like Alpine, Racing Bulls, and Williams show flashes of single-lap speed. New entries Audi and Cadillac, still bedding in power units and chassis, add further variance on a track historically prone to safety cars, wall contact, and strategic gambles for the fastest-lap point. With roughly one month until the September 26 race and no dominant Baku specialist emerging under the revised rules, trader consensus across the field reflects broad uncertainty over which team will deploy fresh tires or capitalize on late-race chaos to claim the lap.
