This market will resolve to “Yes” if Edi Rama ceases to be the Prime Minister of Albania for any period of time between market creation and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. An announcement of Rama's resignation/removal before this market's end date will immediately resolve this market to "Yes", regardless of when the announced resignation/removal goes into effect. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Edi Rama and the Albanian government; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Edi Rama's Socialist Party secured a decisive fourth consecutive victory in Albania's May 2025 parliamentary elections, winning 83 of 140 seats and extending his mandate through 2029. This parliamentary majority has remained intact despite 2026 protests over a coastal resort development and governance issues, which have not produced early elections, defections, or coalition shifts sufficient to force his removal. Rama has publicly rejected resignation calls, citing his electoral contract with voters. Traders assess these structural and political factors as making an exit in 2026 highly unlikely absent unforeseen developments.
