This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed club is determined as the runner-up of the J2 League for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of J2 League for the 2026-27 season per the rules of J2 League (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the J2 League; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 2026–27 J2 League season, the first under a fall–spring calendar, remains wide open after just three matchweeks, with a tight cluster of teams level or near the top on points. Relegated J1 sides such as Yokohama FC, Shonan Bellmare, and Albirex Niigata bring established squads and resources, while clubs like Fujieda MYFC, RB Omiya Ardija, Kataller Toyama, and Vegalta Sendai have posted strong early results and goal differentials. Historical patterns in J2 show promotion races routinely decided by narrow margins across 38 rounds, with home/away form, squad depth, and winter-break adjustments all playing outsized roles. Trader pricing around 48–50% across more than a dozen clubs reflects this parity and the lack of a standout favorite for second place behind any potential leader.
