Caitlin Clark and Alyssa Thomas remain virtually tied atop the WNBA assists-per-game leaderboard at 8.3 apiece through late August, with Clark holding a narrow edge in the market at 55.5% implied probability versus Thomas at 39%. Both players have logged 290 assists in 35 games, well ahead of Jordin Canada (7.4 apg) and the rest of the field. Clark’s recent form, including a career-high eight threes and 10 assists in a 113-90 win over Chicago on August 23, underscores her continued volume in a high-usage Fever offense. Thomas maintains elite efficiency and minutes for Phoenix, but the slight market lean toward Clark reflects the wisdom of crowds factoring in remaining schedule, pace differentials, and Clark’s established passing gravity. With most teams having roughly six to seven games left, minor shifts in playing time or team tempo could still decide the final leader.
