The 2026-27 Serie A campaign opens with an unusually bunched race for third place, as Roma, Napoli, Juventus, AC Milan and several others sit within a few percentage points in trader pricing. Inter’s early dominance as defending champions has compressed the field below them, while summer reinforcements—such as Gonçalo Ramos at Milan, squad additions at Roma and Juventus, and Massimiliano Allegri’s arrival at Napoli—have raised the floor for multiple sides. Opening-weekend results, including Roma’s 4-0 win and strong starts from Milan and Napoli, underscore the lack of a clear hierarchy. With comparable squad depth, recent form and European commitments distributing points unpredictably, traders see little separation among these clubs through 38 matches.
