San Francisco enters with veteran additions including receiver Mike Evans, returning core pieces like tight end George Kittle (activated from PUP) and running back Christian McCaffrey, plus defensive standouts Nick Bosa and Fred Warner ramping up from prior injuries. The Cardinals, under new head coach Mike LaFleur and with Jacoby Brissett under center following Kyler Murray’s release, face the NFC West’s toughest schedule and limited roster upgrades. Recent preseason injury management favors the Niners’ depth, while Arizona’s ongoing transition at quarterback and offensive line limits upset potential in the two divisional matchups.
