The 2026 Liga 1 season, split between Apertura and ongoing Clausura phases with roughly 23 matches completed league-wide as of late August, features a tightly contested clean sheets race. Alianza Lima leads with around 10 shutouts, driven by consistent defensive organization and goalkeeper contributions, while Sport Boys, Universitario, Deportivo Garcilaso, and Atlético Grau sit close behind with strong records in limited fixtures. Mid-table and lower sides like Alianza Atlético Sullana and UTC Cajamarca maintain comparable implied probabilities due to variable fixture difficulty, potential for late surges in the second half of Clausura, and the absence of any dominant defensive unit. This even distribution reflects the league's parity in backline performance and remaining schedule balance, keeping multiple teams viable for the season-long lead.
