Alex Palou’s commanding 91-point lead in the 2026 NTT IndyCar Series standings, built on six wins, seven poles, and 11 top-five finishes through 15 races with Chip Ganassi Racing, drives the overwhelming trader consensus for his fifth championship. Recent victories at Nashville and Portland, plus consistent execution despite a troubled Freedom 250 result in Washington, have extended his advantage over Kyle Kirkwood, Christian Lundgaard, David Malukas, and Pato O’Ward. With only the Milwaukee doubleheader and Laguna Seca remaining, the market reflects the difficulty of overcoming such a margin absent multiple mechanical failures, crashes, or uncharacteristically poor Palou performances paired with flawless results from pursuers.
