If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to be named as the national champion of 2026-27 NCAA Football Division 1 season per the rules of NCAA (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after February 8, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the NCAA; however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The closely bunched probabilities for the 2027 national champion reflect a wide-open 2026 season driven by NIL-fueled parity and the transfer portal, with seven teams clustered in double-digit implied odds. Ohio State enters as the preseason AP and coaches poll leader with elite talent like wide receiver Jeremiah Smith but faces one of the nation’s toughest schedules, including road tests at Texas and Indiana. Notre Dame benefits from the most returning production, a top defense, and quarterback CJ Carr’s development under Marcus Freeman, while Oregon, Texas, Indiana (the 2025 champion), Georgia, and Miami each return key contributors and sit in strong conference positions. Early-season marquee matchups and roster turnover across the Power Four keep the field tightly contested heading into kickoff.
