St. Louis Shock enter the DoorDash MLP Finals series against the Dallas Flash with strong recent form, including a dominant mid-season tournament title and multiple event wins driven by Anna Bright/Kate Fahey in women’s doubles and Hayden Patriquin/Gabe Tardio in men’s doubles. The Shock have posted lopsided margins in key playoff matches and hold advantages in head-to-head regular-season results. Dallas, the 2025 champions, arrives as a surging underdog after playoff wins highlighted by JW Johnson’s standout play alongside Augie Ge, though they have struggled against St. Louis’ top pairings in prior meetings. The best-of-three format for Match 1 at City Pickle in Central Park favors the higher-seeded Shock on current roster depth and momentum, while Dallas needs early doubles wins or a DreamBreaker scenario to shift series momentum. No major injuries or lineup changes have been reported ahead of the August 28 start.
