Several players sit one or two strokes back, including Morgane Metraux, Ruoning Yin, and Jenny Bae, while a larger group remains within five shots after navigating the par-72 layout. Recent momentum from Yamashita’s prior nine-shot victory and solid ball-striking or putting rounds from others keeps the field competitive heading into Saturday’s action. The setup favors multiple contenders with realistic paths to the lead depending on third-round execution amid typical LPGA scoring conditions.
