Marseille, Lyon, Monaco, and Rennes enter the 2026-27 Ligue 1 campaign as the primary contenders for UEFA Europa League spots typically awarded to fifth- and sixth-placed sides (with adjustments if the Coupe de France winner qualifies higher). Marseille opened with a 4-0 win under new manager Bruno Genesio after missing Champions League qualification last term, while Lyon, Lens, Lille, and Monaco each secured opening victories amid squad adjustments. Managerial shifts at Lille (Davide Ancelotti), Monaco (Filipe Luis), and Paris FC (Liam Rosenior) coincide with targeted recruitment, though PSG’s dominance—bolstered by additions like Ferran Torres—continues to shape the upper table. Early results and injury updates will quickly influence implied probabilities as the schedule intensifies.
