Apple faces significant pressure on iPhone 18 Pro pricing from sharply higher DRAM and NAND costs tied to AI-driven memory demand, prompting CEO Tim Cook to describe price increases as unavoidable. Recent Bloomberg reporting from Mark Gurman indicates Apple will likely limit the base 256GB model to a $100 hike—reaching $1,199—by absorbing part of the bill-of-materials increase, mirroring the modest adjustments already applied by Samsung and Google to stay competitive. Earlier analyst estimates ranged up to $300 higher to protect margins, yet Apple appears focused on avoiding excessive sticker shock ahead of the expected September 2026 launch. Traders should watch for final storage-tier pricing and any last-minute margin decisions that could shift outcomes.
