Luke Littler returns to the PDC ProTour floor for the first time in 2026 at Players Championship 27 in Leicester after skipping the first 26 events, entering with zero points on the dedicated Order of Merit while chasing qualification for the Minehead finals. The world number one and reigning champion faces 16-year-old associate member Archie Self in what marks Self’s senior PDC debut; Self, the 2024 WDF Boys World Champion and a consistent high-averaging performer on youth circuits including the JPL and MODUS Super Series, has drawn significant attention for his rapid rise and composure under pressure. Traders see a closely balanced matchup because Littler’s unmatched experience and scoring power confront Self’s proven finishing ability and lack of pressure from expectations, with any early rust for the favorite or breakout performance from the teenager capable of shifting implied probabilities quickly in either direction.
