M80 enters the lower-bracket BO3 against Aurora after a momentum-shifting 2-1 upset of Natus Vincere in the BLAST Open Porto Group A opener, where strong performances from JBa and slaxz- on Mirage and Inferno erased an Anubis deficit. However, M80 quickly fell 0-2 to FURIA, exposing inconsistencies against top competition. Aurora, ranked significantly higher globally, dropped into the lower bracket after a 0-2 loss to G2 but responded with a decisive 2-0 win over DENDELE. The Turkish-led side holds the recent head-to-head edge, defeating M80 2-0 at the Esports World Cup earlier in August, and benefits from greater map pool depth and consistent firepower from XANTARES and woxic. Both teams face elimination pressure in this Group A contest, with M80 relying on recent form and Aurora leveraging superior ranking and experience.
