This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed club is determined as the runner-up of the Ligue 2 for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Ligue 2 for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Ligue 2 (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the Ligue 2; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Several recently relegated Ligue 1 sides including Saint-Étienne, Montpellier, Metz, Nantes and Reims entered the 2026-27 campaign with superior resources, squad depth and experience, creating a talent gap over most incumbents. Early fixtures show Saint-Étienne dominating the top while Montpellier, Rodez, Annecy and Metz sit in a tight cluster immediately behind, reflecting strong starts and historical pedigree that keep second-place expectations fluid. With no single club establishing clear separation after three matchdays and multiple teams carrying promotion pedigree from prior seasons, trader pricing remains evenly distributed across established mid-table clubs and ambitious newcomers, underscoring the depth and unpredictability of the promotion race.
