Bayern Munich enter the 2026-27 Bundesliga as overwhelming title favorites after finishing 16 points clear last season, leaving the runner-up race centered on consistent challengers and emerging sides. Borussia Dortmund, runners-up with 73 points in 2025-26 and boasting the division’s strongest underlying defensive metrics, lead trader consensus after adding midfield reinforcements like Konstantinos Karetsas, Giannis Konstantelias, and Joey Veerman to support Niko Kovac’s second full campaign. TSG Hoffenheim, fifth last term, attract support following heavy investment in talents such as Nathan De Cat amid continued European qualification hopes. SV Elversberg and other promoted or mid-table clubs feature on longer odds due to squad depth questions, while Bayer Leverkusen, VfB Stuttgart, and SC Freiburg sit in the mix amid their own rebuilds and European commitments. Recent pre-season results and the transfer window have reinforced Dortmund’s position as the clearest alternative to Bayern among the field.
