This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed club is determined as the runner-up of the Liga FPD (Costa Rica) for the 2026 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Liga FPD (Costa Rica) for the 2026 season per the rules of Liga FPD (Costa Rica) (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the Liga FPD (Costa Rica); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The closely bunched implied probabilities reflect the parity across Liga FPD's 2026 Apertura, where early results have left no dominant challenger for second place behind likely frontrunners. Saprissa sits atop the table after five matches, but mid-table sides including Sporting San José, Inter de San Carlos, and Cartaginés have posted strong starts with solid goal differences and points hauls, while established clubs like Alajuelense, Herediano, and Pérez Zeledón remain within striking distance despite mixed form. Newly promoted Escorpiones de Belén, occupying the top market probability, benefit from trader focus on their adaptation potential in a league known for frequent swings, though their current record underscores the risks. With the full 2026/27 campaign stretching into May and both Apertura and Clausura stages ahead, roster depth, home/away splits, and head-to-head trends continue to keep outcomes fluid among the pack.
