Paper Rex enters the VCT Pacific Stage 2 Playoffs upper bracket matchup against Nongshim RedForce with strong recent form in the regular season, including multiple series wins and a top regional ranking that reflects consistent map execution and roster stability. Nongshim, coming off play-in victories and prior international success including a 3-0 grand final sweep of Paper Rex at Masters Santiago earlier in 2026, brings aggressive playstyles and strong historical results in high-stakes BO3s. Head-to-head records show swings, with Paper Rex securing a 2-1 group stage win over Nongshim in Stage 1, while map pool familiarity, recent patch adaptations, and home-region crowd dynamics in the Pacific bracket add layers to the closely contested series. Both squads have demonstrated resilience in elimination scenarios, with limited roster changes and solid qualifying paths underscoring the matchup's competitive balance.
