Tundra Esports entered BLAST Slam VII as a top-ranked side with strong prior results in DreamLeague and ESL One events, yet faced reported roster transition uncertainty that contributed to a shaky group-stage showing. LGD Gaming, operating with the former HEROIC lineup, posted an unexpectedly dominant group run, securing the top seed through consistent results and efficient map control in BO1 formats. Head-to-head history favored neither side decisively in recent years, while stylistic factors such as LGD’s aggressive mid-game execution and Tundra’s reliance on late-game scaling highlighted matchup volatility in single-elimination play. Recent form swings and patch adjustments to key heroes further shaped trader views on implied probabilities ahead of the group-stage clash.
