**Heroic enters the IEM Beijing 2026 Closed Qualifier upper-bracket BO3 as the clearer favorite against 3DMAX, supported by stronger Valve Regional Standings placement, a favorable head-to-head record, and greater organizational stability.** Heroic’s roster of nilo, Brollan, MartinezSa, susp, and Chr1zN has posted better recent results in tier-2 events and holds a 5-3 edge in prior meetings, including a 2-1 victory in July 2026. The team’s map pool comfort across the current rotation (Cache, Dust2, Mirage, Inferno, Nuke, Ancient, Anubis) and consistent in-game leadership give them an edge in a short series. 3DMAX (Kursy, Lucky, Graviti, Maka, misutaaa) sits lower in the rankings and has shown inconsistency, with recent losses in high-profile events like the Esports World Cup. A major off-field development on August 27—the public confirmation of long-standing unpaid salaries—has drawn statements from players and staff highlighting its impact on morale and focus, adding uncertainty just days before the September 2 matchup. While 3DMAX can compete on individual maps and has shown flashes in European qualifiers, the combination of ranking deficit and internal distractions makes an upset less likely unless Heroic falters on map selection or execution in the double-elimination bracket.

The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence.
In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
