Mitsuki Wei Kang Leong enters the first-round Zhangjiagang Challenger matchup as the clear favorite due to his higher ATP ranking near 540-650, stronger 2026 hard-court results, and greater experience at the Challenger level compared to 18-year-old Weiyi Kong. Leong holds a solid recent record with multiple wins in M25 and Challenger events on outdoor hard, while Kong competes primarily at lower ITF M15/M25 tournaments with a mixed 2026 mark that includes several retirements and inconsistent outcomes. The players have no prior head-to-head history, and the outdoor hard surface aligns with Leong’s stronger results. Trader consensus reflected in market pricing heavily favors Leong, consistent with the ranking and form gap, though Kong’s local familiarity offers limited counterbalance in an otherwise straightforward opener.
